Overview

Mr. David W. Chen is a managing partner and senior patent and trademark attorney, patent litigator, and a founder of Ge Cheng & Co. He received a bioscience diploma in medicine from China Medical University and an L.L.M. from the law school of Peking University. Before starting his intellectual property practice in 1985, Mr. Cheng served in the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College as a researcher. Mr. Cheng’s practice covers a wide range of innovations, including healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, biochemistry, biosensors and medical devices. Mr. Cheng provides the clients with vast consultation on IP due diligence, FTO analysis, IP portfolio management and handles patent and trademark prosecutions and litigations particularly for life science as well as pharmaceuticals before the China National Intellectual Property Administration and courts.
