Overview

Mr. Samson Yu obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Dalian Maritime University in 1982, and his International Executive Master of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology in 2007. He joined Kangxin Partners in 1998 and was promoted to managing partner in 2001.

At Kangxin, Mr. Yu currently practices all aspects of IP law, specializing in patent and trademark prosecution, due diligence and client counseling. He has successfully litigated numerous IP disputes involving patent and trademark infringements and unfair competition.

With the development and commercial application of emerging technologies, Mr. Yu pioneered the 3-I integration concept of IP+IT+AI in the IP industry, and introduced the construction of A (AI artificial intelligence), B (Blockchain), C (Cloud computing) and D (Data Big Data) to support the IP service ecosystem, which continues to innovate in the use of emerging technologies to empower the traditional IP industry to improve efficiency and quality, as well as business management and business models.

In addition to being acknowledged as one of the top experts in the IP industry, Mr. Yu also serves as an internationally renowned guest lecturer, advisor, and published author in intellectual property law.
