Mr. Y. J. Trivedi (Senior Attorney & Advocate) is the founder member of the law firm Y. J. Trivedi & Co. and he brings in the much-needed experience & legacy to the company. With more than five decades of practical experience as a Lawyer, with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Law, he has abetted Y. J. Trivedi & Co. grow into a premiere full-service IP Law Firm.  Over the span of 50 years, he has assisted companies, institutions and individuals in India and around the world with a wide variety of IP matters. Mr. Trivedi has earned the reputation and honor of being a highly promising litigator due to his inimitable ability to formulate winning strategies for complex IP cases of his clients. His in-depth knowledge of the subject of IPR coupled with his expertise in interpreting the law has led him win the confidence of numerous entrepreneurs and corporate houses in Gujarat who look up to him for guidance and proactive planning. With these unmatched abilities he has obtained various judgments in the area of Intellectual Property Rights from various High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. Under his able leadership, Y. J. Trivedi & Co. has diversified into broad spectrum of IP Laws and has achieved a distinction of one of the top-class firms handling IP matters. He has been instrumental in earning numerous awards and accolades for the firm, awarded by national as well as international organizations.

As a second-generation IP Lawyer, he not only did his best to carry forward the legacy of his father by developing a niche practice in IPR, but also considered making a wholesome contribution to the Society as a gratitude towards what he had received all through the years. In the 35th year of his practice, he set up an IP Academy at AMA named ‘Y. J. Trivedi-AMA Academy for Intellectual Property Rights’, under the aegis of which, various seminars, round table discussions and IP symposiums are being organized every year.

Mr. Trivedi has pen down three books on the subject of IPR. His first publication (was translation of the Intellectual Property Rights Laws (Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights & Designs) in Gujarati language, a first of its kind publication a first of its kind, which proved immensely helpful to the local law enforcement authorities functioning at various levels along with the entrepreneurs of the State.

Under his able guidance and leadership the firm is all set to complete its 50 glorious years in IP Practice next year, with many more yet to come…..
