Overview

Dr. Alan Chen has practiced law since 2000. He first worked at Lee and Li before establishing TALENT Attorneys-at-law in 2005. He specializes in patent contentious matters, especially patent litigation for high-tech companies, including semiconductors, computers, telecommunication, electronic components, power mechanics, materials science and pharmaceuticals. As an experienced patent lawyer, he frequently represents domestic and foreign clients in several major patent litigations before the Taiwan IP court with favorable results.

Chen has a degree in electrical engineering from National Tsing-Hus University, Taiwan. He also has LL.M. degrees from Soochow University, Taiwan, and University of California, Los Angeles, U.S.A. He also received a Ph.D. in technology law from national Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan. He is a frequent lecturer at major universities in Taiwan.

Chen is an active participant in IP communities; he is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association and acts as a chair for the editorial committee and on-job training community of the Taiwan Patent Attorneys Association.
